TikTok food critic Keith Lee gives high rating to Baton Rouge smoothie, juice shop
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Keith Lee effect is set to continue after the popular TikTok food critic gave a juicer and wellness shop a high rating and left a $3,000 tip.
Lee, who is in Baton Rouge as part of his national food tour, said he was recommended to go to Dr. FeelGood by another local food critic.
“The customer service, my family said, was really good. This is a healthy Black-owned spot and inside of Baton Rouge, in my opinion, ain’t nothing else healthy. I would say this is the only healthy or remotely healthy place we got recommended to since we’ve been here,” Lee said in his video.
He said he spent around $30 and ordered a Blue Dream Smoothie with coconut water as the base, a Hibiscus and Seamoss drink and a classic acai bowl.
Lee said he wasn’t a big fan of hibiscus or sea moss but tried the drink and rated it a 3/10. His family members rated it a 7.5 and 8/10.
The smoothie received a higher rating with an 8.7/10. Lee said it was something refreshing on a hot day. The Blue Dream includes banana, mango, pineapple, blue spirulina and sea moss gel.
The acai bowl had strawberries, bananas, blueberries and honey. Lee said it was “really good” but “real sweet.”
In the video, Lee talked to the owners and gave a $3,000 tip. He also left $1,000 to pay for anyone who came in after them.
“Forever grateful! @keith_lee125 and his family visited Dr. Feelgood and left us speechless. Baton Rouge is packed with amazing food spots, yet he chose our mom-and-pop shop. Homemade granola, no-ice smoothies. Thank you for the incredible support,” the Dr. FeelGood staff said on Instagram.
Dr. FeelGood is located at 12240 Coursey Blvd, Suite B.
