Family fun is on the horizon this Saturday in Hampton. Henry County is hosting the second annual Food Truck Fly-In at Atlanta Speedway Airport.

The airport is located on Speedway Blvd. The 2024 Food Truck Fly-In will be Saturday, June 15, from 10 am to 3 pm.

Food Truck Fly-In 2024

First, one may be wondering what is a fly-in? Can food trucks actually fly? A fly-in is a meetup of pilots and aviation enthusiasts. But don’t worry if you aren’t a pilot; anyone can attend. Aircraft owners love sharing and answering questions about their planes.

Several organizations based at the airport will be showcasing what they offer. Examples include Army Aviation Heritage Foundation and plane rides. Food trucks are also on-hand.

Last year’s food truck fly-in was a great event enjoyed by many residents! Be sure and make plans to bring the family this Saturday out to the airport.

PS we have not seen a flying food truck. Let us know if you spot one.
