Food stamps: 19 states are delivering SNAP benefits worth up to $1,751 this week

This week, 19 states and Puerto Rico are rolling out their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits to qualifying residents. 

SNAP benefits are paid to low- and no-income households that are in need of financial assistance to pay for food and groceries. Households qualify for SNAP if their net monthly income is at or below 100% of the federal poverty level. Benefits are typically allotted over a one-year period.

Here are the states, including Puerto Rico, that are still giving out SNAP benefits the week of June 17-23.

Alabama: June 4 to 23

Delaware: June 2 to 23

Florida: June 1 to 28

Georgia: June 5 to 23

Illinois: June 1 to 20

Indiana: June 5 to 23

Kentucky: June 1 to 19

Louisiana: June 1 to 23

Maryland: June 4 to 23

Michigan: June 3 to 21

Mississippi: June 4 to 21

Missouri: June 1 to 22

New Mexico: June 1 to 20

North Carolina: June 3 to 21

Ohio: June 2 to 20

Puerto Rico: June 4 to June 22

South Carolina: June 1 to 19

Tennessee: June 1 to 20
