Savor a long summer night on the courtyard at Farmhouse Inn for a four-course wine dinner featuring Banshee Wines with winemaker Alicia Sylvester at 6 p.m. Sunday.
The evening begins with a cocktail reception followed by chef Craig Wilmer’s four-course menu highlighting early summer’s finest produce to be enjoyed under the majestic Red Oak trees.

Birds and Bubbles for a good cause
Les Dames D’Escoffier Sonoma will host its inaugural fundraiser, Birds and Bubbles, 4-7 p.m. June 29 to raise money for grants and scholarships for women in food, beverage and hospitality.
The event at Grand Central promises to be an early evening of picnic perfection with a fried chicken for two featuring Valette’s buttermilk fried chicken, sides from The Spinster Sisters, Spread Kitchen and Sonoma Family Meal, and dessert from Fairytale Brownies. Comstock Wines will provide the bubbly.
Meals are available to-go or to enjoy on-site on your own picnic blanket while listening to live music. A $175 ticket includes a full dinner for two, plus a bottle of sparkling wine. Meal pick up concludes at 6 p.m.

Top baker takes on Turkish cooking class, dinner
Melissa McGaughey is known for the magic she works with bread and pastries at both Quail & Condor and Troubadour but flour isn’t her only superpower. To prove it, she’ll teach a hands-on class making Turkish cuisine at Troubadour 4-6:30 p.m. Monday, July 22.
Students in this intimate class will learn to make flatbread (of course), along with beef and lamb kefta, rice pilaf, and a refreshing cucumber and herb salad, then sit down afterward and enjoy the fruits of their labor.
