Food delivery driver charged in fatal hit-and-run in Detroit
DETROIT – A 25-year-old man from Grand Blanc has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run on June 8.
According to authorities, Joseph Edmond Stewart was working for an online food delivery service in Detroit when he struck Delia Dinwiddie on Linwood Street. Police said he drove off.
Dinwiddie was rushed to a hospital where she died from her injuries. She was 56 years old.
Stewart was charged Friday, June 14, with failure to stop at the scene of an accident when at fault – causing death, failure to stop at the scene of an accident – causing serious impairment/death and moving violation causing death.
His bond was set at $100,000.
