Plenty of Food and Entertainment Will be Available Again This Year During the Star Spangled Spectacular Event

A variety of nonprofit food offerings, food stands, food trucks, and other entertainment will be provided in Storm Lake parks during the Star Spangled Spectacular.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase beginning at 5pm on Wednesday, July 3rd in Sunset Park during the Kiddie Parade, Classic Car Show, Patriotic Ceremony, and a variety of children’s entertainment. Musical entertainment on the evening of July 3rd will include the Storm Lake Municipal Band, DJ Nick, and The Pork Tornadoes. More food vendors will be on hand beginning at 10am on the 4th of July Thursday. Coffee and doughnuts will be available starting at 7am that morning.

July 3, Sunset Park:

  • Beauty Amidst The Ashes- Cold brew coffee, hot coffee, creamers, flavors, donut holes, and root beer floats
  • Cocina De Abuela- Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, gorditas, and water
  • Cornerstone for Life- Turkey fillets, brats, hot dogs, strawberry cheesecake, chips, pop, and water
  • Kona Ice- Shaved ice
  • Lao Lao- Fried Rice, sticky rice, fried chicken wings, spring rolls, egg rolls, crab rangoon, pad thai, beef jerky ribs, papaya salad, and boba teas
  • Nuria Cruz- Pupusas, corn, Gatorade, and water
  • Pomegranate Lodge- Funnel cakes, water
  • Summer Snow- Shaved ice
  • Whip Delight- Dole soft serve, 100% Hawaiian coffee, floats, whip pops, espresso whips, and vanilla ice cream

July 4, Sunset Park

  • Hope Evangelical Free Church- Corn on the cob, water, and pop
  • Lao Lao- Fried Rice, sticky rice, fried chicken wings, spring rolls, egg rolls, crab rangoon, pad thai, beef jerky ribs, papaya salad, and boba teas
  • Nuria Cruz- Pupusas, corn, Gatorade, and water
  • Pomegranate Lodge- Funnel cakes and water
  • St. John’s Lutheran Church- Pork burgers, hot dogs, chips, cinnamon rolls, caramel popcorn, rice crispy bars, chex mix, coffee, pop, lemonade, and water
  • Summer Snow- Shaved ice
  • Whip Delight- Dole soft serve, 100% Hawaiian coffee, floats, whip pops, espresso whips, and vanilla ice cream (coffee served beginning at 7 a.m.)
